The sculptural composition consists of a white marble pedestal with dark veins, on which there is a snow-white marble bust of Roerich. Nearby stands a stone of red marble, on the polished side of which the words of N.K. Roerich: “The heart of India is stretching towards immense Russia. The great magnet attracts the Indian hearts of the Russians. Truly "Altai - Himalayas" - two magnets, two balances, two foundations ... Beauty is inherent in the Indo-Russian magnet. The heart sends a message to the heart. "
The idea of creating a sculpture arose in Moscow during the exhibition-presentation "Talents of the Altai Territory" held in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, at which Vladimir Voichishin also presented his works. The initiative of the writer Maria Arbatova was supported by the Governor of the Altai Territory Alexander Karlin. The sculptor Vladimir Voichishin agreed to do all the work free of charge; various specialists helped him on a voluntary basis. The materials were donated by the management of the Altai-Granit-Mramor enterprise.
