Museum of the History of Blacksmithing

Altai Territory, Belokurikha, st. Builders, 72

Anna Biletskaya, the only blacksmith girl in Siberia, opened a museum at her smithy in the summer of 2016. Guests will be introduced to devices for forging - a hammer, anvil, pincers, they will tell about the art of blacksmithing, they will show icon-painting images of Kosma and Damian - patrons of farriers,

The stories about the life of the ancestors are illustrated by the collection of forged products and old utensils of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, which occupies two rooms of the smithy. Samovars, chests, cast iron irons, kerosene lamps, sewing machines, spinning wheels and other objects unfamiliar to contemporaries crowd each other on shelves, tables and even on the floor.

After seeing the curiosities, guests of Biletskaya can try their hand at blacksmithing, join master classes on making jewelry from copper and protective dolls, and take a souvenir with them. After the end of the program, tourists are given aromatic tea from a samovar.

Registration for excursions by phone + 7-960-965-94-86.
