The Gorod Museum is a modern, actively developing and simply unique cultural space of the city of Barnaul, where the past, the present and a part of the future of history and culture are united by a thin thread.

For the first time, the Museum opened its doors to visitors in 2007 in the building of the former City Hall, built in 1914-1916. designed by architect I.F. Nosovich. Today this building is recognized as an architectural monument of regional importance and serves as a repository of cultural wealth of the city of Barnaul, a repository of funds of the Gorod Museum.

In a short time, the Gorod Museum has become a prize-winner of many grant programs, a participant in all-Russian and international exhibition projects, a meeting place for famous personalities with citizens, a territory of enlightenment, free thought and daring experiment, as well as an interesting corner of Barnaul. Thanks to the work of the team, on the basis of the Museum, interactive exhibitions and events are developed and held for all age groups and segments of the population.
