Zarinsky Intersettlement Museum of Local Lore

Zarinsky district, Zarinsk, st. Lenin, 25 (diagonally from the district administration)

Exhibition sections traditional for the district museum (nature-revolution-war-modernity) in Zarinsk are transformed with unique exhibits. The years of the Civil War take on flesh in the battle patterns, the assorted weapons of the partisans and ... the instruments of Kolchak's torture. The clothes of ordinary people tell about the motives of the revolutionary lower classes - homespun shirts and canvas pants, shabura, bast shoes and teal shoes. The ruined village prosperity reminds of itself with weekend embroidered felt boots (which are not found in any other museum of the region), painted floors, a carved bench and a wardrobe of the 19th century. The bright wedding dress of the Mordovians and the one-color "couple" of Kerzhaks whisper about hopes for happiness. The icon, which was blessed by the young, an embroidered jacket for the mother-in-law and self-woven embroidered towels, with which the bride came to her husband's house. The silent grief of the war years froze in a Komsomol ticket pierced by a splinter and a handful of earth from a Polish cemetery where Soviet soldiers were buried. About courage and overcoming - the front-line overcoat of the commander of the artillery battalion, a stylized dugout and an invitation card to the Victory Parade ...

One of the 11 permanent exhibition sections of the Zarinsky Museum of Local Lore is dedicated to fellow countrymen who suffered from repressions in the middle of the 20th century. Another - to talents and celebrities from the area, including the first Soviet climber to climb Mount Everest, V.S. Balyberdin.

The tools of peasant labor and the mammoth tusk, minerals and representatives of the biosphere, the work of modern craftsmen and their distant predecessors ... The museum picture of the life of the Zarinsky region covers all epochs and strata that enthusiastic collectors of evidence from the past could reach.

Photos - from the groups of the museum in the social networks "Odnoklassniki" and "VKontakte".
