Transfer funds for the construction of a temple in the Bystry IstokValery Zolotukhinstarted with a large fee for his third book, "Bounce" in 1991. The famous actor not only donated his earnings to the church, but also “walked around the world”: he turned to governors and politicians, businessmen and deputies for help.

In those days of precipitous inflation, the value of savings was melting before our eyes. And the money collected by sponsors, the fast-Istok community and parishioners was enough only to fill the foundation. For about nine years, it was mothballed, and then the construction was moved off the ground. There were donors who donated significant amounts after Zolotukhin's appeal. The governor of the Kemerovo region allocated several wagons of coal, which they managed to exchange for timber, and the villagers began to build a wooden church on their own.

The project of the church was created free of charge by the architectural studio of the famous Barnaul architect Pyotr Anisiforov (the author of the projects of churches in Antarctica, Japan and Mount Athos). This was the first experience of church building for the Fast-Yistok carpenters. We did it. The cedar temple rose 26 meters.

Seven bells of the belfry were donated by Moscow craftsmen, and a large bell was cast using the savings of Valery Zolotukhin. The temple is decorated with a carved wooden iconostasis with hand-written icons and images from the destroyed church, which the believers managed to save from the Bolsheviks.

The church was consecrated on October 13, 2003, on the eve of the Intercession. In a solemn procession with the cross, her chief caretaker, Valery Sergeevich Zolotukhin, walked around her with the icon. And on April 5, 2013, he restedat the churchyardwhere it is allowed to bury church ministers and benefactors. A year after his death, the territory of the temple was transformed: it was fenced off with funds from the regional grant, the paths were paved with tiles, and bushes were planted.
