On 13 December in "Sibirskoye Podvor'ye" in Altai will be held sprint  "Arrow Of Bai-Ulgan". Sportsmen from Omsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Tomsk, Republic of Altai and Altai Kray will take part in it, in general about 90 people and 300 dogs. The event is included in a programm of the holiday "Altai Wintering", the main aim of which is to show wide opportunities of winter rest in Altai.
"Winter rest is almost always sport. Here in Siberia it is necessary to be active, one should move a lot, only in this case the rest will be full-fledged and manifold,-thinks Oksana Zyabrina, vice-president of Altai Sport Federation of sleddog sport.-On 13 December we expect about 90 starts, participants from different towns of Siberia will come there, different age groups will be presented. All of these is the evidence of a big interest to sleddog sport in Siberia, including Altai Kray. Pleasantly that Altai Kray is one of the leading regions in sleddog sport. Our sportsmen demonstrate the highest results in different competitions. "
Husky ( Siberian, Alaskan, Kamchtsky and also mixture of dogs and hounds) are raised to run further, quicker, faster. Guests of the holiday "Altai Wintering" will see equipping, start of dog team, and of course spectacle races and finishing.
"Tourists will have the opportunity to become acquainted with dogs, to know interesting facts about husky, to make photos with them, - told Oksana Zyabrina.- Husky are very friendly and comminicative, but in any case, communication with animals is possible onle with permission and under control of the owner."

Few Tips For Tourists

On the eve of the start one should not worry dogs, but if there is a lot of time before the start, dogs will communicate with guest with pleasure. Also should not throng near starting corridor.
During starting one should not scream loud and flap, it make dogs nervous, they are already strained and understand seriousness of situation. At the finish greetings are permissible, but one should do it gently, as too stormy reaction may lead to confusion of young and unexperienced dogs.

Numerals And Facts About Races

Sprint will be held on the territory of "Sibirskoye Podvor'ye" in the day of the main events of the holiday "Altai Wintering". Dogs will run 10 km., the team will overcome the distance in 28-30 minutes. Young participants of competitions, children from 10 to 14 years, masters of the dogs will pass 300-400 meters.

"Sibirskoye Podvor'ye" (Smolenskiy district, Novotyryshkino) - key point at the map of the holiday. Here, on 13 December will held the main events: championship of Altai Kray by riding sleddog sport, snomobile races, big cultural entertaining program. Ice sculptures, which were made by masters from different regions of Russia, will decorate coaching inn. In covered pavillions of the complex one will have the opportunity to buy the production of craftsmen and Altai producers.

Die Flora der Altairegion zählt 1184 Arten von Pflanzen, darunter mehr als 100 Heilpflanzen, deren Verwendung in Medizin offiziell erlaubt ist.

Das sind: Rosenwurzel,  Maralwurzel,  Süßklee,  Nord-ostasiatische Pfingstrose,  Echtes Süßholz u.s.w.  Es gibt auch solche Heilpflanzen, deren Kultur zu kompliziert ist und deren Naturvorräte die einzige Quelle der Rohstoffe für Heilmittelproduktion darstellen. Das sind Adonisröschen, Preiselbeere, Sumpfcalmus, Nuphar lutea.
